Local features: A strategic challenge.
Linguistic adaptation consists of giving content the local features of a country, even if the language remains the same. For example, a document written in Canadian French can be adapted to look right for a native French reader living in France. Our high degree of proficiency in local variants enables us to adapt a text from one to another without needing to retranslate everything, which saves time and lowers costs.
This skill requires extensive knowledge of the nuances, idioms, and regional specifics needed to be perfectly in tune with the cultural context of each region. That's why we always assign these projects to translators who live in the target country.

Stoquart, a doorway to the world.
French, English, Spanish, Dutch... our global presence enables us to make useful, consistent linguistic adaptations. Flexible and agile, we can perfectly address your needs and business goals so that readers will understand what really matters!
Stoquart has been handling linguistic adaptation projects for nearly 30 years, for many different companies. For example, since 2017 our agency has been carrying out an important assignment combining translation into Canadian French and adaptation into the French of France for a large software publisher. The project, which involves both translating and adapting the client's terminology, includes the application interface and numerous training guides.
